OCR photo renaming uses Optical Character Recognition to extract visible text from inside an image file — watermarks, stamps, labels, captions, receipts — and uses that text as the filename. Unlike EXIF renaming (which reads camera metadata) or AI vision (which describes what is shown), OCR specifically targets text already printed or overlaid on the image.
